This year, I hoped I could write my first-year review before it ends, but I delayed(, life!). I want to take a step back and see what went well, what I could have done better, and what I look forward to in 2022!* This review is a reflection of my own...
Early stopping is one of the effective and simplest regularization techniques used in training neural networks. The Idea Behind Early Stopping and Why you Should Always Use It Usually, during training, the training loss will decrease gradually, and ...
Neural networks are hard to train. The more they go deep, the more they are likely to suffer from unstable gradients. Gradients can either explode or vanish, and neither of those is a good thing for the training of our network. The vanishing gradient...
Machine learning, a science of teaching computers to perform tasks without programming them explicitly is classified into five main types that are: Supervised learning Unsupervised learning Semi-supervised learning Self-supervised learning Reinforce...
Precision and recall are classification metrics that are used when the dataset is not balanced or skewed. It can be challenging to understand the difference between those metrics. And even when you understand it, it doesn't take long to forget it. U...
For about 4 to 5 months ago, I have been working on a practical and complete machine learning curriculum. The curriculum contains 30+ notebooks from python programming, data analysis, data cleaning, data visualization, classical machine learning, com...
I am currently taking Machine Learning Engineering Operations specialization by DeepLearning.AI. It's a great course that teaches how to build effective learning systems, building efficient data cleaning and modeling pipelines, and deploying machine...
There are different kinds of data. Neural networks architectures are of different kinds too. Some of the choices of network architecture can be obvious, but machine learning is an experimentation science. A network that was invented to process images...
